About Us
Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis met in Chicago while studying and performing improv and sketch comedy at the world-renowned Second City, iO, and Annoyance Theater. It was kismet at first laugh. Nicknaming each other Jon (Alex) and Eddie (Rachel) after their hilarious dads, Alex and Rachel’s friendship and writing partnership grew through their complementary humorous stylings and love of food. After leaving Chicago, A&R made their way to Los Angeles, where they began performing improv and sketch comedy as The Jon and Eddie Show, and started writing for television.
Alex and Rachel have written for shows on Disney (Bizaardvark, Raven’s Home), Apple TV+ (Helpsters, Yo Gabba GabbaLand), PBS (Odd Squad), HBO Max, Netflix, Nickelodeon, and Amazon. They have also developed a variety of pilots with Disney, Nickelodeon, Lionsgate, and Sony Pictures Animation – including a DC/Warner Brothers multi-cam comedy with Bill Lawrence and Elizabeth Banks for HBO Max. Currently, A&R serve as writers/creators/executive producers on their music-driven comedy series, How We Became the Biggest Band in the World for Disney/Disney+… with music by Diane Warren! Stay tuned!
Alex and Rachel have been nominated for four Emmys. They are also proud graduates of the prestigious WGA Showrunner Training Program and schedule all their writing meetings around food.
