About Us

Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis met in Chicago while studying and performing improv and sketch comedy at the world-renowned Second City, iO, and Annoyance Theaters. It was kismet at first laugh. Nicknaming each other Jon (Alex) and Eddie (Rachel) after their entertaining fathers, Alex and Rachel’s friendship and comedic partnership grew through their complementary humorous stylings and love of food. After leaving Chicago, Alex and Rachel made their way to Los Angeles, where they performed improv and sketch comedy as The Jon and Eddie Show.

Once in LA, the duo sold an original web series to Fremantle Media, and expanded into writing for television. Since then, A&R have written for shows on Apple TV+, HBO Max, Disney, Netflix, Nickelodeon, Amazon, and PBS. They have also sold a variety of pilots to HBO Max, Nickelodeon, Disney, and Nerdist Industries. Some recent projects include: a musical sitcom for Disney with Diane Warren attached to write the music, as well as a DC/Warner Brothers comedy with Bill Lawrence/Doozer and Elizabeth Banks/Brownstone for HBO Max. Currently, A&R are developing a series with Sony Pictures Animation for Netflix, as well as a workplace comedy with Lionsgate.

Alex and Rachel have been nominated for four Emmys. They are also proud 2020 graduates of the prestigious WGA Showrunner Training Program and schedule all their writing meetings around food.
